Safer client creation + clearer save errors
May 14, 2026
FixSnapshots
No more silent client merges across forms, and hidden save errors now surface in the footer.
What was happening
- When you added or edited people inside a Household, Corporation, or Trust, the system could quietly treat two different individuals as the same person if their details looked similar. This could cause one person’s information to appear attached in multiple places unexpectedly.
- On long forms, clicking Save sometimes looked like it did nothing. The actual issue was a required field further up the form, but the error message could be off-screen so you wouldn’t see what was blocking the save.
What we fixed
- Creating and editing clients is now safer: people are no longer silently combined behind the scenes. If you want to use someone who already exists in your book, you’ll be prompted to explicitly select that person.
- Save errors are now visible even when the problem field is off-screen. If something is blocking the save, you’ll see a message in the footer; selecting it takes you to the first field that needs attention.
Where to find it
- Go to Client List
- Select Add or Edit on a Household, Corporation, or Trust
- Click Save to see the updated error handling, or add people to see the safer “use existing person” flow
