Confidence in Every Click of "Record"
November 15, 2025
Recordings now save in real time, so you never lose a meeting to browser crashes or connection drops
What's new
This update makes Conversations recording far more reliable, so you don't lose a meeting due to a browser crash, device issue, or temporary connection drop.
Recordings now save in real time
Previously, recordings lived entirely in your browser until you hit Stop. If something went wrong mid-session, the recording could be lost.
Now, as soon as you click Record, encrypted audio streams to our servers in real time and writes to secure Canadian storage. Everything captured up to the last moment is already safe.
A 60-second buffer for network hiccups
If your internet drops, we keep the session open for 60 seconds.
- Reconnect within the window and recording continues
- If not, we auto-save everything captured so far and label it Auto-saved
Clear indicators while recording
You'll now see:
- A connection quality icon (good, fair, poor, disconnected)
- Live audio bars so you can confirm your mic is being captured
Processing visibility and recovery tools
After you stop recording, you'll see each stage:
Finalizing → Transferring → Transcribing → Summarizing → Ready
If processing fails, you can:
- Retry with one click
- Download the original audio for up to 24 hours (then it's securely deleted)
Security and data handling
- Recordings are stored in Canada
- Encrypted in transit and at rest
- Originals are deleted after successful transcription, or retained for up to 24 hours for recovery
Where to find it
- Go to Portal → Conversations
- Click Record to start a session
- Watch for the connection quality icon and live audio bars
- After stopping, follow the processing stages to completion
